Summer, beach time, sunny, blue skies, warm water, nice beaches. Some of the things people think about when they think about Florida in the summer. To be fair, it is a lot of that. But, don’t be surprised if you find yourself on a nice vacation full of water, rain water. Florida happens to get a decent amount of rain in the summer time, especially south Florida, having the Everglades dumping good amounts of water from time to time.

Why am I writing about this?

As I said in one of my first blog posts, I will write about anything I find interesting or feel like I want to share with anyone that may come across the stuff I write. This specific topic, one that I don’t particularly find myself over the moon excited about, but I do think it can help anyone that plans to travel to Florida in the summer to relax and get wet and sandy. I advice people to check the months that are less likely to rain and don’t be afraid to look outside of the summer season because as anyone that has lived here for some time can tell you, is pretty hot most of the year down here.

The photo on the cover of this post is a panoramic image I took of the Port of Miami with Downtown Brickell in the back was during a day where there seemed to be little changes of raining. Some 30 minutes after I get to my destination to chill and take pictures, it was dark all of the sudden and started pouring over in the distance. Which is another thing I wanted to mention, I’ve always said that Florida weather is bipolar, one moment is all sunny and next thing you know is the end of the world.

Now, you may say, why don’t you just check the weather online before doing anything? I have, many many times but that as I said, the weather here is bipolar so even the weather apps get it wrong often. All of that being said it is a great place to vacation, especially for someone that lives far north in cold weather.

Thanks for reading.
